On point

September 2020.

Welcome back to On Point – hard to believe it’s September already!

Between the changes we’re making as part of our transformation strategy, and the conduct and culture / adviser licensing changes rolling out across the market, we know your inboxes are bursting and there’s information overload.

Moving forwards we’ll do our best to keep On Point – and our other comms – punchy and focused on what you really need to know.

So in this issue we’re giving you a heads up on what’s coming up over the coming weeks and months.

Licensing questionnaire – we need to know your plans

So we can keep accepting your new business and paying you commission under the new adviser licensing regime, we need to know what your agency structure is going to be from 15 March 2021.

To make it easy for you we’ve developed a questionnaire. We’ll be emailing these out shortly so keep an eye out for yours.

So we have time to reflect these changes in our systems please respond by 14 November 2020.

Learning HQ – product accreditation

Our new online product accreditation programme, Learning HQ, is going great guns and we’ve already got over 1,000 advisers registered.

We’re taking a staggered approach to the roll out of invitations so we can manage volumes and offer help if you need it. The next lot of product modules will be released in part two. Look out for your invitation!

Key dates:

  • Part 1 – available now
  • Part 2 – October 2020
  • Part 3 – February 2021

Training – what’s coming up

We want to help you get ready for the new financial advice regime so, despite the disruptions of Covid-19, we’re still delivering our training courses online. Places are limited so bookings are essential!

Here’s what we’re currently delivering:

  • Building Better Businesses Live - 18 September: invitation only - ask me for more details
  • Disclosure Live – 22 September: understanding the new disclosure requirements

Once Covid-19 restrictions are eased and we’re back to delivering training in person, we’ll be running workshops on the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Providers. And in December we’re planning on running more ACC training – stay tuned for details!

We hope you’re continuing to stay safe and keeping business ticking over in these interesting times – if we can help in any way please drop your Business Manager, Business Account Manager or our Sales Support team a line.
