February 2024

Welcome to our first newsletter of the year. We’re committed to continuing to fulfil the commitments we made last year, and we have some exciting new initiatives to share with you too.

The year’s off to a great start. Earlier this month, we held our inaugural Practice manager summits in Christchurch and Wellington to a warm reception, with Auckland soon to follow. We’ve also introduced a new dedicated Adviser services team to help you do business with us more easily – more on that below.

You can also read about our latest Outward Bound course recipients, express your interest in our new E-App and our Professional pathways programme, learn how to take advantage of our latest product enhancements, and more.

This is your February update.

Our new and improved E-App is nearly here.

Your E-App experience is about to get better, with an overhauled interface and several new features on the way. This includes:

Icon 1 Easier and more efficient applications.
Icon 2 New look with flexible navigation.
Icon 3 Streamlined underwriting.

The new E-App will no longer require a separate paper form and handwritten signature for declarations and direct debits, plus it includes other newly automated processes to make your job easier.

With this revamp on the horizon, we need your help crafting a training experience that works for you.

Our turnaround times are improving.

Over the last 12-months, we’ve seen a large reduction in turnaround times across the board. We hope this makes your job easier as we continue working to cut wait times even further.

Here to help – our new Adviser services team.

In September, we introduced our dedicated Adviser services team. They're here to reduce call times, provide efficient assistance, and ensure you have access to help every step of the way.

Getting closer to Advisers.

Recognising our strategic priority to lift our game for Advisers, we’ve recently made some changes in our Sales and Service area that bring our Executive team closer to both Advisers and customers.

Unfortunately, one of these changes has resulted in Mel Beattie’s Head of Distribution role being disestablished, and our Senior Business Managers and Strategic Alliance Manager now report directly to Bronwyn Kirwan. We’d like to thank Mel for her time with us, and we wish her all the very best for the future.
