November 2021.

Strengthening support for advisers across the regions.

As the industry continues to evolve from a regulatory, technological and economic perspective, we’ve ramped up our support for you by expanding our Business Manager team to ensure you have the support you need to successfully navigate the road ahead!

In the last month, we’ve recruited Alex Paul (Northland/Auckland), Michelle O’Connell (Auckland) and Haylee Edwards (Palmerston North, Horowhenua, Wairarapa and up to Taranaki), further strengthening our already solid team around the country.

They join Peter Warfield (Auckland), Jenn Quinn who is currently in the process of relocating to Marlborough (Marlborough, wider Wellington and Hawkes Bay), Gary Binnie (Christchurch/Timaru), and David Telfer (Central Otago, Invercargill, Dunedin).

Sadly Andrea Reid (Waikato/Bay of Plenty) is due to finish up with us as the end of the month to start her new chapter as an adviser. We wish Andrea all the best on this new journey and we can’t thank her enough for the 10 years that she’s spent with us. We’re finalising the recruitment in this space and will be in touch very soon!

Need a little extra help with your FAP license application?

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) - Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko has set 30 September 2022 as the target date by when all transitional financial advice providers should apply for their Class 1 or Class 2 full licenses to ensure that you are license ready for 15 March 2023.

For Class 3 license applicants, the target date is 30 June 2022. All financial advice provider (FAP) transitional licenses expire on the close of 16 March 2023. By getting your application in before the relevant target date, applicants would give themselves the best chance of ensuring their full license was processed before their transitional license expired.

Check out our Class 1 and Class 2 license guides which bring together the licensing process, duties and obligations and standard conditions for full FAP licenses in all into one handy workbook.

And remember - our Building Better Businesses modules are also available on Adviser Hub to support you in building your business process and procedures.
