We’re on the home stretch!

With just under six weeks until Christmas, we’re looking forward to being able to take time out to unwind with family and friends.

This month we’ve got some exciting improvements to underwriting guidelines for our IP products to share, and we’ll outline some important details of commission payment dates over the holiday period.

Underwriting guidelines changes

We’ve been working closely with our reinsurers to enable more customers access to Income Protection products, as the economic outlook becomes clearer.

We understand how important it is for you to have clarity around what products are available to customers, and what details are important for our underwriters. So, we’ve created a reference document which will:

  • Help you when speaking to your customers about their needs
  • Allow you to provide Fidelity Life with useful additional information which is not otherwise covered in our application form/s (this will help us make faster and more accurate decisions)

Help you to understand what may be offered to your customer based on their own circumstances.

In line with the banks phasing out the use of cheques over the coming months, we’re looking at how we support our customers to transition to other payment options. If one of your customers pays by cheque, we’ll be in touch with details on how we’ll manage our communication with them.

And lastly, a reminder to please continue reaching out to customers to understand the impact of Covid-19 on their cover. We have options available to help them keep their policies in place, the details are on our website.
