February 2022.

Haere rā Todd Allan.

Before we jump into business, it’s with mixed emotions that we share the news of Todd Allan’s upcoming departure from Fidelity Life.

Like many of us have done in recent, Covid affected times, Todd’s re-evaluated what’s important to him and with a young son turning one this year, has decided to enter the world of self-employment as an Adviser so he can be more present with the family.

Although we’re sad to see him go, we understand the motivation and wish him all the best for the next step in his career. Todd’s last day with Fidelity Life will be 18 Feb.

Haere mai Melanie Beattie.

The adviser channel is a critical part of Fidelity Life’s strategy and Todd’s departure provides us an opportunity to re-evaluate our support in this area to ensure it’s fit for purpose and aligns with our new mandate of accountability with an end-to-end focus.

To that extent, we’ve decided to create a new ‘Head of Distribution’ leadership position that brings together accountability for our adviser relationships, strategic alliances and new channels.

We're pleased to share that Melanie Beattie (current Head of Strategic Alliances) will step into this new Head of Distribution role.

Since Mel joined us last year, she’s successfully shifted gears in our approach to strategic partnerships, and is poised to apply the same rigour and strategic thought to elevating our support and partnerships in the adviser community.
