Great news for you and your new customers.

We’ve launched some improvements to our new business underwriting requirements.

The key change is significantly higher non-medical limits on lump sum covers meaning customers can now apply for higher cover amounts without the need for medical evidence and testing. Other improvements include:
• Simpler medical codes to make things easier and faster.
• Removal of the broad COVID-related financial restrictions on Income Protection and Key Person cover.

These changes are the result of our new agreement with global reinsurer Gen Re.

Temporary Free Cover on E-Applications.

We are aware that the ‘Temporary Free Cover’ certificate is currently missing in the E-Applications documents. We’re working to resolve this issue.

Despite its absence, customers who join via E-Applications remain entitled to the ‘Temporary Free Cover’ benefit whilst their application is being assessed. Please communicate this to your customers. If they require more information, guide them to page 27 on the application form.

We recently updated our application forms.  

Last month we communicated some recent changes to our application forms.

Here’s a snapshot of changes we’ve made:

  • Streamlined our questions to make it easier for customers to understand and provide the right information, particularly around Covid-19 questions.
  • Updated our customer details section. Customers are now able to select if the life to be insured is a policy owner.
  • Updated our declaration pages. Customers are now able to complete and sign on screen.
