Activities on offer.
While you're here, you'll have plenty of free time to soak up the atmosphere and all that the resort and the area has to offer.
Please ensure that you're signed up for activities no later than Monday, 9-September.
Here are the complementary activities included at the lodge.
There's no charge for these, and they're available at any time with limited numbers. You can simply reach out to the concierge, or the resort staff and they can help you.
| Walking trails. | A self-guided walk to the kauri tree is a must and short enough for all to enjoy. |
| Property tours in the Prado. | Take a tour in groups of 4 people max. |
| Golf cart to 7th hole and a walk down to Pink Beach. | A short and picturesque walk with magnificent views over the Bay of Islands taking you down to a sandy beach. |
| E-bikes. | Allowing you to explore the trails over the farm with ease. |
| Tennis / pickleball / basketball. | Enjoy a little fitness and fun at the courts close to the accommodation area. |
| Lap pool / gym / jacuzzi / sauna. | In a magnesium mineral pool with the luscious native bush as a backdrop. |
| Pink Beach. | You can be dropped off down at this gorgeous East Coast beach to relax, take a stroll, or dip your toes in the ocean. |

There are also additional activities available from the lodge that you're welcome to take part in during your free time. These are not included, but you can see the price guides below and register your interest to secure them.
While these do have limited availability, the lodge will do their best to accommodate anyone wanting to take part.
| The spa. |
A place to relax, rejuvenate, and revive your spirit in a tranquil space where nature prevails. The Spa is nestled at the edge of a Totara forest, overlooking a verdant fern glen and winding stream. The Spa has four treatment rooms, locker rooms with showers, a sauna, Jacuzzi spa pool, indoor heated lap pool and fitness centre, with a range of exercise equipment and free weights. At The Spa each treatment room, including the couple’s room, has floor-to-ceiling views and opens onto a private outdoor patio with forest surroundings and native birdsong. The Spa offers a variety of services, including different styles of massage, luxurious facials, invigorating body treatments and nail services. |
| Surfing. |
Surf some of New Zealand’s most beautiful untouched scenery including Kauri Cliffs. It is as though nature designed the Northland coastline with surfers in mind. Tiny coves, long sandy beaches, river mouths, point breaks, sandbars and reefs all within a short drive. Enjoy a two-hour beginner's lesson at Kauri Cliffs. Prices start from NZ$560 for 1 guest, NZ$745 for 2 guests. |
| Farm tour. |
You can be treated to a special tour of our working farm with our Farm Manager as your guide. He will take you around our stunning 6,000 acres of farmland and share his extensive knowledge on the different farm animals which are farmed here. Including a sheep demonstration and possible sheep shearing. Prices start from NZ$495 for 2 guests for a 1.5 hour experience. |
| Land-based fishing. |
Fishing is a religion around these parts. Join our local guide at one of the beaches on the property and test your skill at hooking a snapper or kahawai. A big part of this fishing experience is taking in the serenity and beauty of these spectacular surroundings, and legend has it, a cold beer helps the fish to bite. Prices start from NZ$530 for 1-4 guests, for a 2 hour experience. |
| Horse riding. |
Explore Kauri Station and its surrounds on magnificent, gentle horses, picking your way through native forest and our working farm to the beach, where you can ride on the sand and then enjoy a picnic lunch. Alternatively you can join Kate on her farm in Kerikeri where you can ride in the sand arena, explore the cross-country course, or trek over the easy rolling farm with tracks, forested areas, and wide open spaces to ride through. Prices start from NZ$1250 for 2 guests for a 1.5 hour experience. |
| ATV Back country tour. |
