Investing in excellence with our new Heads-of: Mat, David and Michelle.

We’re proud to introduce three leaders who are new to their roles, each bringing with them a wealth of experience and expertise. Meet David Winspear, Michelle Doyle, and Mat Bark, our heads of Channel Strategy, Solutions and Channel Enablement.

David Winspear – Head of Channel Strategy.

In this pivotal role, David Winspear leads the design and implementation of our channel strategy. With a robust background in financial services, David's focus lies in developing systems of work that enable growth, commercial sustainability, and improvement to franchise value. His career spans significant leadership positions, including his time as Managing Director at Partnering Excellence, where he notably supported Fidelity Life in developing B2B distribution strategies. David has also held senior roles at TAL Australia, including Head of Health, Head of Business Development and Head of Alliances.  His strategic thinking, delivery capabilities and vast experience are a great asset to our continued success.

Michelle Doyle – Head of Solutions.

Bringing a diverse skill set honed across different facets of the insurance industry, Michelle Doyle assumed the role of Head of Solutions in October. Her journey includes founding and operating a large-scale commercial fitout organisation, serving in pivotal roles at AIA NZ (including as Senior Manager AIA Vitality) and leadership positions like Head of Business Performance at Sovereign. In her new role, Michelle steers Fidelity Life's Adviser channel solutions, professional development programs (including the recently announced Adviser edge) and overseeing our in-house Adviser team Fid. Her multifaceted background promises an innovative approach to her position as the leader of the Solutions team.

Mat Bark – Head of Channel Enablement.

Tasked with shaping Fidelity Life's adviser channel experience moving forward, Mat Bark recently stepped into the role of Head of Channel Enablement. His extensive expertise, drawn from his tenure as Head of Existing Business at AIA NZ and leadership roles across technology, operations, risk and cross-functional management, has him well-equipped to drive transformation in his new role. Mat has also held senior positions at Westpac, and has audit and advisory experience as Senior Manager – Risk Assurance for KPMG. His current focus on digital interfaces, platform innovation and modernising of servicing experiences aligns with our commitment to elevating the adviser experience and upgrading our service quality.

We’re excited to have these accomplished leaders on board, and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in their roles.
