“Coming to the end of the 5-day course, I'm feeling amazing and incredibly calm and peaceful, which is certainly not how I came into it.”
Personal growth and overcoming challenges.
From this experience I’ve gained the confidence and skills to navigate personal and professional challenges. The power of stepping outside my comfort zone by participating in activities like the high ropes, which definitely scared me, has led to a significant boost in my self-confidence and a realisation that I am capable of a lot more than I think I am.

After the 5-day course.
I learned the importance of mindfulness and being present, which are crucial for balancing my personal and professional life, managing stress, and improving overall well-being. And that listening to the other women in the group, the way they operate, their work environments, their leadership strengths, weaknesses I was able to better understood the challenges they faced and how facing those challenges positively promotes dialogue and solutions. I will be taking this experience back with me, to my role in financial advice.
“Embracing the day …really sets everything up for the day ahead. Outward bound made me realise how important it is to have the time for self-reflection and looking after yourself”
What’s the highlight.
“Truely understanding the only way you can grow is to step outside of your comfort zone because that's where the growth happens. Becoming uncomfortable for periods of time extends that comfort zone, those uncomfortable things become comfortable – That’s how we grow and develop and learn.”
