Considering the recent drought situation in Taranaki, we’ve developed a relief offer for existing Fidelity Life customers suffering from financial hardship as a direct result of this. The area included in the relief offer is the one included in the medium-scale adverse event declaration announced on 27-February 2025.

We’ve since extended this support with an additional offer to drought-affected customers in Northland, Waikato, King Country, Horizons (Manawatū-Whanganui) and Marlborough-Tasman. You can find all the details below.

Relief offer for affected customers in Taranaki.

Any of our customers in this affected region directly suffering financial hardship as a result of the recent drought who are eligible, will be able to apply to have their premiums temporarily waived for up to 3-months, with the potential to extend for up to a further 3-months, without affecting their insurance protection.

We’d like your help to make sure these drought affected customers with Fidelity Life policies know that financial relief is available if they need it.

Following our support for customers in Taranaki, we're now extending financial relief to those impacted by drought in other regions covered by the latest government announcement.

From today, eligible customers in Northland, Waikato, King Country, Horizons (Manawatū-Whanganui) and Marlborough-Tasman who are experiencing financial hardship due to drought can apply to have their premiums temporarily waived for up to 3-months, with the option to extend for up to a further 3-months. Insurance protection will remain in place.
