The Career connect employer registry connects adviser businesses with the next generation of financial advisers. It’s your opportunity to support new talent, while gaining connection with graduates who are trained, qualified and eager to make an impact.

What is Career connect?
Career connect was established to address a growing need in the financial services industry: to attract, train, and connect the next generation of financial advisers. As part of our market-leading Adviser edge development platform, the programme has been purpose-built to remove barriers to entry and create meaningful pathways into the advice profession.

Through a blend of structured learning, mentorship and real-world experience, Career connect empowers aspiring advisers to build the skills and confidence they need to thrive. The programme is proudly committed to boosting diversity and inclusion in the financial advice industry, offering a range of scholarships to under-represented groups including Māori, Pasifika, women and rural applicants.
Career connect equips participants with skills and confidence, and supports them in achieving their NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 (Life and health Insurance).

How adviser businesses are benefitting.
Nick Wells, business owner and Director of Amicus Group, recently shared his thoughts on Career connect and the value it has added to his business.

“Partnering with Fidelity Life and their Career connect programme has been a real advantage for our business. We have welcomed two graduates into our team, and both have quickly become valuable contributors.
The programme sets them up with a strong foundation in financial services, but what’s impressed us most is the energy, fresh perspective, and genuine enthusiasm they’ve brought from day one.
Career connect has been a great way to bring new capability and fresh thinking into the industry, and we are excited to continue building this relationship with Fidelity Life.”
Alpa Bhandari, Operations Manager at Gallagher, also spoke highly of the graduates that her business has welcomed, adding:

"The Career connect programme has been valuable in identifying onboarding talented individuals who are passionate about the insurance industry.
The graduates we’ve welcomed through the Career connect programme have demonstrated a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for the industry.
Their contributions have been invaluable, and we would be more than happy to continue supporting this initiative by welcoming future graduates into our business."
