Fidelity Life has celebrated the achievements of financial advisers across New Zealand, hosting graduation ceremonies for its 2025 Adviser edge programmes - Professional pathways and Advice masters - following a year of intensive learning and collaboration.
Throughout 2025, advisers engaged in workshops and coaching sessions led by some of the industry’s most respected experts. Advice masters participants worked closely with Tony Dench, supported by guest appearances from Shaun Quincey (Simfuni), Jeremy Muir (MinterEllisonRuddWatts), Henry Lynch (Faraday), Henri Eliot (Board Dynamics), and advisers from BNZ and Deloitte.
Professional pathways advisers benefited from guidance by Kirsten Leng and specialists including Professor Yalcin Akay (Melbourne Business School), Steven Burgess (Compliance Refinery), Cecilia Farrow (Thrive Consulting), Amy Watson (AW Consulting), Tony Hughes (Sales IQ global) and Marloo.
“Congratulations to our 50 graduates of Professional pathways and Advice masters. These advisers aren’t just shaping their own careers; they’re shaping the future of financial advice in New Zealand,” says Bronwyn Kirwan, Fidelity Life Chief Commercial Officer.
The ceremonies recognised advisers who invested significant time and effort this year to strengthen their professional capability, elevate their businesses, and deliver better outcomes for customers. The final workshops focused on business planning and efficiencies, including how advisers can leverage technology and AI to future-proof their businesses for 2026 and beyond.
“Our goal with Adviser edge is to develop the world’s best risk advisers. We believe advice changes lives, and that’s why we invest in advisers who strive for excellence and continue to raise the bar for our industry. Building a strong future for advice means backing talented people today, so New Zealanders can keep getting the support they need, now and for generations to come,” says Bronwyn.
Since its inception in 2024, Adviser edge has supported the development of over 200 advisers, helping to build stronger advice businesses and deliver better outcomes for customers. The programme has delivered exceptional results, with 100% of participants saying they would recommend it to their peers, and all reporting business growth and positive impact.*
Adviser edge returns in 2026 with expanded opportunities, including the Adviser edge study tour - an international learning experience for business owners and senior advisers ready to elevate their leadership.
