Adviser edge is our professional development programme that’s designed to help current (and future) New Zealand financial advisers advance their skills and grow their businesses. Through tailored training pathways, we offer advisers opportunities for personal and business development, as well as connections with a community of high-performing colleagues.
We’ve had an outstanding year across all 3 Adviser edge programmes – and there’s more to come, as we open up spots for new entrants next month.
Here’s the latest on each programme.
Advice masters & Professional pathways.
We’ve held a wide range of virtual and in-person workshops across the year for these programmes aimed at existing advice professionals. Facilitated by a group of industry-leading experts, these events have covered themes including quality assurance and governance strategy, leadership and high performance, business planning, marketing and growth strategies.
To close out the year, we’ll be hosting final workshops for both programmes in late November, focusing on business and compliance efficiency, as well as reflecting on the business plan and revisiting it for another year. These sessions will give advisers the opportunity to reflect, reset, and prepare for success in FY25. We’ll also be celebrating the year’s accomplishments with an in-person graduation ceremony for each programme.
Career connect.
We have just under 2-weeks remaining before students begin preparing for their final Level 5 certificate assessments. So far, participants have achieved a 97% attendance rate for all webinars, and the majority are on track to complete their Level 5 certificate before December.
While students await their final results, we’ll start training them on Fidelity Life’s products and helping them develop their soft skills in preparation for joining the industry. An in-person graduation is scheduled for March 2025, and we're following through with opportunities to place new graduates into established advice businesses, continuing our commitment to supporting both new talent and existing firms.
Looking ahead.
As we plan celebrations for current participants, we’re excited to also be opening up places soon for the coming year of professional development through Adviser edge. For this FY25 intake, keep an eye out for further details on applications and onboarding – we’ll keep you informed via the On point newsletter.
While Advice masters will operate by invitation only, Professional pathways and Career connect will be open for registration, followed by a selection process. We can’t wait to kick off with a brand new cohort – and we’d love to have you on board.
