Engage 2023 Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to all persons (you) registering to attend the Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited (Fidelity Life) Engage 2023 Conference (Conference). By registering for and/or attending the Conference, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms.

1.1 Advisers will complete registration via the form contained in the email in order to register for the Conference. Fidelity Life accepts no liability for any registrations not properly completed or received. All registrations must be received by Wednesday 7 June 2023.
1.2 Registration and confirmation of your booking will be provided by Fidelity Life or C&I Travel Specialists via email with confirmation of your travel requirements according to your Fidelity Life Engage 2023 registration form (Form).
1.3 The conference registration fee is $250 incl. GST for advisers and $100 incl. GST for partners.
Conference fees will be invoiced to you and are payable within 10 business days from receipt of invoice. Payments can be made by direct debit or by credit card to our travel team. Any payments made by Visa or Mastercard will attract a 2% surcharge.Your registration fee covers your participation in the programme including meals, travel (partners’ travel and transfers are at your own expense), accommodation, speakers and functions.

2.1 Bookings are made in accordance with information and requirements provided by you in your registration. Fidelity Life provides no guarantees as to your requirements being met and is reliant upon availability of flights or accommodation at the time of booking. Fidelity Life relies on the information that you provide at the time of registration for the conference and will not be responsible if any incorrect details are provided which result in any delay or cancellation of flights or accommodation.
2.2 Your booking will cover (where relevant) your flights and transfers from the airport to the venue, (but not the flights/transfers of any additional person you choose to bring along), accommodation at the venue, and food preferences.
2.3 The accommodation package provided by Fidelity Life includes a buffet breakfast. You are required to cover the cost of all room incidentals (including, but not limited to room service orders and mini bar) and any additional services you may use at the hotel. If you choose to upgrade your room or request any additional items for your stay these must be covered by you.
2.4 In the case that you choose to enter or leave the Conference earlier or later than the specified Conference dates and times then you will be required to cover those costs.

3.1 You expressly agree that Fidelity Life and its related entities and each of their respective legal representatives, directors, agents, employees, contractors and officers shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage of any kind whatsoever suffered directly or indirectly by any person, possession or property in connection with the Conference or any other activities of Fidelity Life, for any reason whatsoever, no matter how that loss, injury or damage was caused.
3.2 Without limiting clause 3.1 above, Fidelity Life does not assume any responsibility or liability for stolen, lost or damaged personal property of any kind, in any circumstances related to the Conference or otherwise, whatsoever.
3.3 You agree to indemnify Fidelity Life for any actual, incurred and direct losses, damages, costs and expenses incurred arising out of non-compliance with any reasonable rules, guidance or instructions provided by any Fidelity Life or venue representative in the course of the Conference.

4.1 If you are no longer able to attend the Conference, you must notify Fidelity Life in writing by giving more than thirty (30) business days’ written notice prior to the date of the Conference (such notice can be given via electronic mail to carlene@cispecialists.co.nz). Fidelity Life will acknowledge receipt of your notice via return electronic mail.
4.2 Fidelity Life reserves the right to on-charge any costs and expenses that it has or will incur in relation to your registration for the Conference where you fail to attend the Conference in whole or in part.

5.1 Fidelity Life reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, cancel or postpone the Conference at any time for any reason. Where Fidelity Life decides to do so, it will give as much notice as reasonably possible.
5.2 Fidelity may also cancel or postpone the conference in the case of a force majeure which includes any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including (but not limited to) an Act of God, war, pandemic, epidemic, revolution or any unlawful act against public order or authority, an industrial dispute including strike or other labour disturbances, a governmental restraint, or where a state of emergency has been declared.
5.3 The Conference may also be cancelled where any COVID-19 restrictions have been imposed by the New Zealand government regardless of the impact to any region in New Zealand.
5.4 Fidelity Life will not be liable for any costs you incurred in relation to the Conference, in the case that the Conference is cancelled after your registration.

6.1 Any adviser or person who attends the Conference in a participation capacity (Participant) grants permission to Fidelity Life to use, distribute and publish his or her video footage, image or likeness collected in connection with the Conference for any purpose at its sole discretion at any time.

7.1 All personal information will be collected, used, stored and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, and in accordance with our Privacy Policy which can we be found here . The primary purpose for collection of the information is for administration of the Conference.
7.2 In connection with the preparation for the Conference, Participant information will be disclosed to C & I Travel Specialists who assist in the event management of this Conference, including the booking of flights and accommodation. By registering for and/or attending the Conference, you agree to receiving correspondence from C & I Travel Specialists for the purposes of this Conference.

8.1 Fidelity Life reserves the right to change, suspend or cancel these Terms at any time.
8.2 You acknowledge that Fidelity Life reserves the right to request your removal from the Conference if Fidelity Life, in its sole discretion, considers your presence and/or behaviour to create a disruption or to hinder the Conference and/or the enjoyment of the Conference by other attendees or speakers.
8.3 All intellectual property rights in and to the Conference, the Conference content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Conference are owned by Fidelity Life. You may not use or reproduce (or allow anyone to use or reproduce) any such intellectual property (including any Conference content or materials) for any reason without the prior written approval of Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited.
8.4 Fidelity Life gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Conference or any materials related thereto or offered at the Conference. Fidelity Life does not accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Conference and/or any information provided at the Conference.
8.5 All Conference events are held within New Zealand.
8.6 These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
